Basic Principal

The first step is to create a “Setup”. A setup is usually an aquarium, but it could be a pond, or anything else really that holds water. You can add as many aquariums as you wish and manage them all from one screen.
To this setup, you add all of your equipment and livestock. This will be your fish, plants, corals, invertebrates and your filters, lights, heaters, sumps, skimmer etc. Even the timers for your lights and any other equipment you like.

The screenshot below shows one method of creating your setup, equipment and livestock. AquaTrax really is easy to use. Simply click on each button in order to add in each item from the built in database and you will be up and running in minutes.

As you define your setup(s), the built-in "wizards" guide you through the typical information you would log against your aquarium. You can add as little or as much as you like. The more you add, the more you will get out of AquaTrax. As you add the items to your setup, you will have the opportunity to record where, when and how much you paid for it, plus lots of other information. AquaTrax also has photos of most of the items, such as fish and equipment. You may add your own photos to make it more personal if you do not wish to use our library photos.  Suppliers, manufacturers, shops and websites are included to record who you bought your items from, as well as acting as a search engine when looking for a potential shop, website. manufacturer etc.

Once you have your setup ready, you can then record ongoing information such as water changes, water test results, water treatments added. Over time this information will build up to give you a full picture of your setup helping you to spot trends and potential problems.
